Snapshot — Privacy Policy
What the extension does
Snapshot captures an image of the browser tab you are viewing — the visible area, a region you select, or the whole scrollable page — and either saves it to your Downloads folder or places it on your clipboard.
Data handling
- Screenshot images exist only in your browser's memory while the capture is being assembled. They are then written to the file you download or to your clipboard, and are discarded. They are never uploaded anywhere.
- Page title is read at the moment of capture, solely to name the saved file. It is not stored.
- Your settings — output destination, file format, the one-second delay
toggle, and the last width and height used for a fixed-size capture — are saved locally
using
chrome.storage.local. They never leave your device. - No browsing history, page content, form data, cookies, or credentials are read, logged, or transmitted.
