Snapshot — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

Snapshot does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Every screenshot is created and handled on your own computer. The extension makes no network requests of any kind, and has no servers, analytics, or third-party services.

What the extension does

Snapshot captures an image of the browser tab you are viewing — the visible area, a region you select, or the whole scrollable page — and either saves it to your Downloads folder or places it on your clipboard.

Data handling

Permissions and why they are needed

Snapshot requests no host permissions and cannot run on pages you have not explicitly invoked it on.

Links

The extension's panel contains a link to plusbytes.com. Following it is entirely your choice, and the extension passes no information about you when you do.

Third parties

None. No data is sold, shared, or disclosed to anyone, because none is collected.

Children

Snapshot is a general-purpose utility and collects no data from users of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this address and the date above will change. Any change that affects data handling will also be described in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing before it takes effect.
